About the project
Gelatin Labs is a family-owned photo development lab in New Jersey, USA, offering high-quality personalised photographic services to creatives across the country. Founded and run by father-son duo Doug and Ben Krueger, the brand blends timeless artistry with modern photographic solutions.
We collaborated with Confetti Design Studio. They handled visual design, we brought the vision to life in development. The goal was a seamless, expressive, high-performing website that reflects the storytelling and emotional legacy behind the lab.
Our approach
The site was already live and actively used by a loyal customer base, which made development sensitive. With no inbuilt staging environment and an urgent timeline, we built a custom staging setup so changes could be made and tested without disrupting the live experience.
The product structure involved unique logic and custom workflows around ordering and photography services. We reverse-engineered parts of the user flow, understood the logic behind it and implemented it efficiently and fast. The result is a quick, beautiful, fully functional site that continues to serve a growing community of photographers.
